1/2 c vegetable oil 1/3 c chopped onion 5 cloves garlic, minced 1/2 c flour 4 tsp nutritional yeast 4 tbsp soy sauce 2 c vegetable broth 1/2 tsp dry sage 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper heat oil over medium heat. saute onion and garlic until soft, about 5 minutes stir in flour, nutritional yeast, and soy sauce to form a smooth paste whisk in the broth. add sage, salt, pepper. bring to a boil. reduce heat and simmer, 8-10 minutes, or until it's the consistency you want.
